One of my favorite fall treats are apple cider donuts. The first time I tried these donuts was in the Catskills with my sister a few years ago. I remember how delicious and comforting they were, but I also liked them because they didn’t make me feel too full, like most donuts do. They have a cake-like consistency and include warm spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and apple pie spice. They are sweet, but just sweet enough and not too overwhelming. Since I couldn’t get enough of these heavenly donuts, I thought this would be the perfect time to buy some donut pans and get baking. I used this recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction and they turned out awesome! I will definitely be making these donuts again in the future.
