Fancy Feature of the Week: The Lipstick and The Lip Gloss by Lauren Conrad Beauty

I’m already a big fan of Lauren Conrad’s clothing line, so when I heard she was launching a beauty line, I couldn’t wait to try it out. Other than the fact, I was excited to try her makeup, there were a few other reasons I wanted to check it out. First, it’s vegan friendly, cruelty free, and paraben free. Over the past few years, I have been trying to go cleaner with my beauty products. We always think about chemicals in our food, but I never thought about what I’m putting on my face. Second, it’s so reasonably priced. Many clean or natural beauty products tend to be on the pricier side, so it was refreshing to see her products range anywhere from $16-$38.

One of my favorite beauty items from her line is called “The Lipstick” in Shell. I usually opt for red, cranberry, or pink lipsticks, but I have been looking for a good nude color. This lipstick is matte and goes on nice and smooth. Also, it is not drying like some lipsticks tend to be. There are a few other colors that they have as well and the price point at $20 is a little higher than I typically pay for lipstick, but I think it’s totally worth it.

“The Lip Gloss” in Raspberry is another favorite of mine. I never thought I would buy a lip gloss in my thirties, but it turns out this lip gloss is totally different from the lip glosses I used in middle school. This gloss goes on smooth, leaves your lips moisturized and the big plus for me, is it isn’t sticky at all. I love this color and it pairs nicely with the shell lipstick to make your lips pop. They also have two additional colors in this gloss and the price is $18.
