I have a whole lot of hair, and it can certainly be a pain to manage. Throughout the years, I would wash my hair multiple times in the span of a week. I ultimately thought the cleaner, the better! I later found out that washing my hair too much was actually drying it out. I was thrilled to learn that it was better to go for longer stretches of time without washing my hair and let the natural oils seep in. Although, it was nice to know I didn’t have to wash my hair constantly, I didn’t want it to look dirty in the process. That was just about the time when dry shampoo became all the rage. With so many dry shampoos on the market, the next problem was finding the right one. After much trial and error, I finally found Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo, which is by far my favorite.
It not only makes my hair look refreshed, but it smells great too! I use the original scent, and just recently, new scents have been added to the line such as lush scent and coconut colada. There is a bit of a residue that it produces when spraying it on, and for blondes, it’s actually a great thing, because it helps cover up root growth. They have also made one for brunettes and a transparent spray as well, so make sure you read the label. I have been to Drybar salons in NYC many times for blow outs, and I do feel their products are quality and their dry shampoo will always be in my arsenal of hair products.
