A few weeks ago, I posted about my experience doing the Whole30 Program. Now, I want to share a delicious and healthy Classic Chili recipe from the book The Whole30 – The 30-Day Guide to Total Health and Food Freedom. Check out the video and recipe below.

Whole30 Classic Chili Recipe
Serves 2 with leftovers
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground meat (beef, bison, turkey, lamb)
- 1 onion, chopped finely
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 bell peppers, finely chopped
- 1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups beef broth
- *1 Jalapeno – optional if you like it spicy
Heat a large pot over medium heat and add in the ground meat. Cook the meat until browned, about 7-10 minutes and then remove it from the pot and put it into a separate dish.
Next, add the onions, garlic, cumin, paprika, chili powder, mustard powder, and salt to the pot. Cook until the onions are translucent, about 4-5 minutes.
Then, add the bell peppers, diced tomatoes and broth and add the meat back in. Turn the heat to high and when it reaches a boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour uncovered.
Garnish with cilantro, jalapenos, or crushed pepper for added flavor. Serve and enjoy!
