Fancy Feature of the Week: Jessie & Elizabeth Soap

*By: Christi Shingara*

I first came across Jessie & Elizabeth soap while shopping at my neighborhood boutique, Boscoe’s Mercantile. There was a table display with soaps in beautiful packaging that caught my eye immediately. Gravitating toward the display, I started to smell each bar. Much to my surprise, I found that none of them had an overbearing scent. These soaps come in an array of subtle scents, with my favorite being High Cotton. The Generations scent is another one I’ve tried and I equally loved that too.

As one who has never used goat milk’s soap before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It made my skin feel soft and extra moisturized and didn’t leave a film or residue like some harsh soaps tend to do. I also learned that goat’s milk soap is a natural exfoliant and gives your skin a healthy dose of Vitamin A. Another plus is that the bar lasts longer than most other soaps I have used in the past.

Last but not least, a sweet detail that I discovered about this company was that the one of a kind packaging is actually a love letter that was written by the owner’s grandfather to their grandmother in 1924. Needless to say, I feel like I found a hidden gem and this will be my go to soap for a long time to come!
