Fancy Feature of the Week: Winter Fashion Looks

*By: Christi Shingara, Linz Bordner & Megan Deppen*

Winter is almost here, and what better way to carry on through the cold days and nights then with some fresh, new looks. Here are six winter fashion ideas that’ll take you right into 2021!

1. Layers

Baby it’s cold outside, but warm and cozy inside! Layering is the perfect way to adjust to different temperatures throughout the winter season and also create different looks at the same time. This look has many layers. A turtleneck sweater and a faux fur vest all complimented by a festive, holly green pencil skirt paired with high boots, and a few accessories to finish it off.

Where To Get The Look:

Turtleneck Sweater

Faux Fur Vest

Pencil Skirt

Black Boots

2. Red Dress

When I think of Christmas, the first color that comes to mind is red. A red dress is a wardrobe staple to have during the holiday season. This mock neck flutter sleeve dress is the perfect look to keep things merry and bright. Add a sparkly embellished headband and black tights and pumps and you’ll be all ready for the big guy (Saint Nick that is)!

Where To Get The Look:

Jeweled Headband

Red Dress

Black Suede Pumps

3. Leather

If you’re going for an edgy look, a good pair of leather pants is the way to go. You can dress them up or down, which makes them very versatile. This look is a mix of edgy and sophisticated. This red Tibetan Shaw from Wilson Ross adds a pop of color and can be worn as a scarf or as cape like I have done here.

Where To Get The Look:

Headband

Tibetan Shaw

Turtleneck

Leather Pants

Black Pumps

4. Winter White

Wear white after Labor Day? You bet! However, this is not the bright white that you would necessarily wear in the summer, but more of a soft, off white color that makes any outfit look elegant. This winter white dress not only gives off a sophisticated look, but is the perfect outfit for any holiday party paired with some accessories and suede boots.

Where To Get The Look:

Winter White Dress

Suede Taupe Boots

5. Sequins

There’s no better way to sparkle than with sequins. For this look, this gold sequin midi skirt is the star of the show. Add a soft black turtleneck, opaque tights, and pumps and you’ll be passing the bubbly in no time!

Where To Get The Look:

Black Turtleneck

Sequin Skirt

Black Suede Pumps

6. Velvet

Velvet is timeless and is always a staple piece in my closet, especially around the holidays. This black jumpsuit is from one of my favorite locally-owned businesses, Wilson Ross. The cut out back elevates this look, and red pumps add a pop of color. The textures and hues make this the perfect holiday outfit!

Microsuede Pointed Toe Block Heeled Pumps
